Jacob Beach

Instructional Technology Specialist

Jacob Beach is an Instructional Technology Facilitator in Watauga County, NC. He is an alumni and current graduate student of Appalachian University where he is studying Educational Media - Instructional Technology. This is his 7th year in the NC school system and he holds teaching licenses in both North Carolina and South Carolina.

Jacob Beach is very engaged with the continuing development of technology in the NC School System. He has piloted and led a school system in the 1:1 transition and developed many blended and online courses. He was worked NCVPS, North Carolina's state-led virtual school as both a course developer and a teacher for many years.

In addition to technology innovations in the field of education Jacob Beach has also been engaged with state curriculum reforms. When NC began their transition to Common Core and the Essential Standards, he traveled around the state to train and then serve as the facilitator and lead for a system in High School Social Studies.
